THE MISSION
At Liberty Robotics, we build vision systems and solve the "unsolvable" problems in industrial automation. As a division of LMI Technologies, we are the global leaders in volumetric 3D guidance, enabling robots to see, think, and act in high-stakes environments, from the world’s largest automotive assembly lines to cutting-edge distribution centers.
We are looking for a Product Engineer who possesses a rare blend of technical curiosity and "field grit." You will be the vital link between our advanced R&D algorithms and the physical reality of a robot moving at full speed on a factory floor.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: As a Product Engineer, you own the "Last Mile" of innovation. You will ensure that our V-Guide, V-Pick, and V-Presence technologies operate with 100% reliability in environments where seconds of downtime cost thousands of dollars.

- Own the Lifecycle: Support vision-guided robotic (VGR) projects from initial lab evaluation through to "live" production.
- Robot Mastery: Program and optimize industrial robots (primarily Fanuc and ABB) to interface seamlessly with our 3D volumetric sensors.
- Rapid Prototyping & Testing: Design and execute rigorous test plans for new vision software releases. You’ll be the first to find the bugs and the first to suggest the fixes.
- Technical Diplomacy: Act as the primary technical liaison for our Tier-1 integration partners and global customers. When a system is on-site, you are the voice of Liberty Robotics.
- Documentation Excellence: Author of the "source of truth" technical manuals that allow our global partners to deploy our systems with ease.
- The Foundation: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- The Tech Stack: You have hands-on experience with Fanuc (Roboguide, TP, Karel) or ABB (RobotStudio). If you’ve dabbled in PLC programming or C++/Python, you’re already ahead of the curve.
- Vision-Minded: You understand 3D space. Terms like "point clouds," "six degrees of freedom," and "coordinate transforms" are part of your daily vocabulary.
- Field-Ready: You thrive in the "controlled chaos" of a factory launch. You are willing to travel 10–15% to partner sites to ensure our technology is winning on the ground.
- Growth-Obsessed: You want to learn the business so you can eventually lead a team or architect the next generation of software.
- Vertical Career Velocity: We are a high-growth group within a global organization. We want you to eventually move into Senior Engineering, Software Architecture, or Product Management, we provide the path and the mentorship to get you there.
- Market-Leading Rewards: A competitive base salary plus our Profit Sharing Program (PSP) and comprehensive LMI benefits.
- Elite Support: We pride ourselves on a "never-fail" culture. You will have direct access to our Director of Product Engineering and senior R&D teams to ensure you have the support you need when you're in the field.
- Innovation Without Borders: You’ll work on technology that is currently being used by the world’s top automotive OEMs and logistics giants to redefine what is possible in robotics.
