Maintenance Technician

What will you do as a Maintenance Technician?
The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Production Manager and is responsible for the routine inspection and upkeep of equipment and building facilities associated with our machine infrastructure. This includes performing preventative maintenance to minimize the need for repairs. Additionally, this role involves proactively arranging necessary repairs during any machine breakdowns and carrying out repairs and maintenance on equipment as required.
This position offers training on CNC machine operations, providing potential applicants with an understanding of control systems.
Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:
- Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Determines and follows scheduled maintenance dates
- Performs preventative maintenance of equipment and building facilities including CNC machining centers, CNC saws, compressors and finishing equipment
- Diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electrical issues as necessary
- Takes initiative to suggest improvements and anticipates issues
- Assists with part assembly and other production requirements when needed.
- Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual
- Other duties as assigned
What do you need to be successful?
- Maintenance experience with Electrical and Mechanical systems
- Self motivated and eager to improve on systems already implemented
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to disassemble machines, equipment, or devices and replace defective parts
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, repair manuals, or component data sheets
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail is required
Salary Range: $49,000 CAD - $69,939 CAD
