LMI is seeking a results-driven experienced Contract Technical Recruiter to provide recruitment services and work with the LMI HR team to support accelerated growth plans for 2-3 months. With a focus on delivering great candidate experience and hiring manager partnership, the ideal partner thrives in a fast-paced technology environment that embraces teamwork and shared success.

  • Works collaboratively with internal teams to identify, attract and successfully hire excellent candidates
  • Manages full-cycle recruitment across locations and technical disciplines
  • Actively drives and enhances LMI’s recruitment strategy and processes to support LMI’s people growth
  • Ensures an impressive candidate experience and internal customer satisfaction
  • Works with hiring managers and the current internal recruitment team to identify, develop and implement strategic and creative sourcing initiatives that result in quality candidate pipelines that prepare and meet talent needs
  • Proactively sources active and passive candidates through networking and other mediums
  • Acts as a recruitment expert within the HR team and with hiring managers to actively share current knowledge and experience of external markets and sourcing strategies
  • Identifies and pursues new ways to build awareness of LMI’s employment brand across multiple hiring markets
  • Ensures all candidate management data is actively documented within the Applicant Tracking System.

Education and Qualifications 

LMI team members come from a variety of backgrounds with a range of skills and knowledge.  For the Contract Technical Recruiter, we expect the person with the highest likelihood of success will have the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate complex recruitment requirements and hit the ground running
  • Success recruiting for technical roles especially in software and vision engineering
  • Strong sourcing, networking and lead generation skills that demonstrate tenacity, creativity and determination to locate active and passive candidates with difficult-to-find skill sets in local and other markets
  • Direct experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to source and manage candidates 
  • Effective negotiation and influencing, especially when competing for talent with top tech companies 
  • Strong technical and business aptitude with a good understanding of social recruitment tools
Nice to have Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Innovative use of social media and other sourcing methods to hire for specialized areas in unique markets 
  • Background as an in-house recruiter is an asset
  • Positive self-learner with a drive to keep updated with recruitment practices and share your knowledge with others
  • Engaging and confident communication style, with the ability to facilitate positive understanding with a wide range of hiring managers and candidates
  • Must be detailed-oriented with strong time management, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Self incorporation
