Regional Sourcing Manager
LMI Technologies (LMI) is a leader in 3D machine vision sensors and inspection systems. We are dedicated to providing advanced, innovative solutions to our clients across various industries, including automotive, industrial automation, and robotics. As we continue to grow we are seeking a Sourcing Manager to join our team in Suzhou China. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Manager to drive cost savings through component sourcing and negotiation, and to manage our business relationships with Asian suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supply chain, procurement, and operations management. Strong communication skills (English and Mandarin) and the ability to negotiate with stakeholders from numerous departments is a must! Experience with embedded electronics, machine vision, electro-optical systems, and/or 3D measurement is an asset. The successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. It is expected that the applicant will generate annual cost savings through negotiating with existing suppliers and actively finding and qualifying new suppliers for components used in LMI’s products.
What will you do as a Regional Sourcing Manager?
- Purchase oversight and approval of inventory purchases & adjustments for the Suzhou warehouse location.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager overseas, as well as with the Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing groups to execute on defined procurement objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to support LMI’s manufacturing in North America & Europe with an emphasis on cost reduction.
- Support negotiation of terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Conduct on-site audits of Asian suppliers in accordance with LMI’s quality management system and TKH’s Code of Supply.
- This position will require attending virtual meetings in various time zones, as well as the ability to travel in and outside of China (Canada, other locations as required).

What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement and supplier management, preferably in the machine vision industry.
- Experience with ERP/ MRP systems (Netsuite preferred).
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001 & 14001
- Purchasing, inventory management, supply chain planning and logistics experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical issues to a wide audience in Mandarin, and a professional working proficiency in English. Other languages are an asset.
