Accounting Clerk
LMI Technologies is currently seeking a detailed-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Global Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager at our head office in Burnaby, you will be a key player in ensuring financial integrity. This is a ‘full-picture’ role where you will manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring operational efficiency.
Full-Cycle Accounts Payable:
- Review, verify, and match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
- Proactively identify and resolve variances by collaborating with Purchasing and Receiving departments
- Process corporate credit cards and employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to LMI’s Company policy
- Perform timely entry into NetSuite and execute disbursements via EFT, ACH, and wire transfers
- Oversee the onboarding of new vendor profiles and resolve inquiries through regular statement
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Administer customer invoicing and record cash receipts in a prompt, systematic manner
- Evaluate new customers for credit limit approvals and monitor existing accounts when order volumes exceed limits
Manage collection activities to ensure adherence to payment terms and evaluate overdue accounts for potential credit holds - Execute credit memos and generate bi-weekly AR aging and analysis reports
Fiscal Period Close Procedures:
- Perform reconciliations for intercompany receivable/payables, inventory (received not billed), and prepaid expense accounts
- Formulate monthly accounts payable accruals and corresponding journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliations, monthly AP accruals, and corresponding journal entries
Continuous Improvement & Support:
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the AP/AR functions
- Act as the primary liaison for internal and external financial inquiries
- Provide support for ad-hoc accounting projects and duties as required by the Finance team
Education and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (Diploma or Degree), in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a high volume environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A self-motivated, ’results oriented’ attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced global team
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with Netsuite and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is an asset
Salary Range
- $52,800 - $75,240 + Eligibility for Profit Sharing Program Participation (pending successful completion of probationary period and based on business performance)

- This is a hybrid position based out of our Burnaby, BC headquarters. To support our collaborative model, preference will be given to local candidates that are able to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
